About the event
Join us for our next event on January 26, 2023 in partnership with Sharewares and Nada Grocery for a Zero Waste facility tour and engaging panel discussion with some of Vancouver’s Zero Waste leaders!
In partnership with Sharewares and Nada Grocery, we are excited to bring you an evening of learning and entrepreneurial stories from successful zero waste businesses in the Vancouver area. The event will consist of a 20 minute tour of Sharewares and Nada Grocery’s operations. After the tour, participants will attend a zero waste panel discussion, followed by an opportunity to networking with the CEP community.
The panel discussion will be moderated by CEP President Katelyn Smith and will provide an opportunity to learn form and ask questions of these amazing local Zero Waste leaders:
- Cody Irwin, Founder of Sharewares: a citywide borrowing platform providing reusable cups and takeout containers for Vancouver businesses
- Brianne Miller, Co-Founder of Nada Grocery: a package-free grocery store on a mission to connect people to just food - championing a community food system by linking buyers to suppliers and offering healthy, unpackaged products & services
- Samantha Rayner, Co-Founder of Better Basics: offering zero waste alternatives to traditional household products
- Andy Chou, Co-Founder of Soap Stand, providing soap refill stations that support green lifestyles
Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Connect, learn, ask questions and get inspired with us!
